Jefferson Elementary 5th Grade in conjunction with Camp Sparky
The Jefferson Elementary Rocket Outreach Program was hosted in 2007 by Daedalus in conjunction with Camp Sparky at Jefferson Elementary in Mesa, Arizona. Daedalus personnel, assisted by student members from Camp Sparky, took over several 5th grade classrooms for a one-day marathon of teaching and building model rockets. Though time was not on our side, we did manage to help the children build a fair number of rockets. Several days later the students were brought to the ASU recreational fields where we quickly set up and launched their model rockets. Not many pictures from this one; we were on a very tight time schedule and everyone was busy trying to manage these energetic students. Many thanks for the assistance provided by Camp Sparky volunteers!!!
