Air Force Junior ROTC students from High Schools across the country were selected to participate in the AFJROTC Aerospace and Technology Honors Camp 2006 and stay on the ASU campus for a week. Two such camps were performed in 2006, same as the year prior. These bright young students engaged in many activities over the week based on a very demanding curriculum developed and implemented by the ASU AFROTC Detachment 025 on campus. Once again, Daedalus was asked to attend both week-long camps and perform our rocket outreach program. Unique to Camps 3 and 4 was the inclusion of JrROTC student members from all four branches of the military. This made for an interesting competitive environment that spawned many innovative rockets. One such concept included a 3-stage rocket with 3 motors in each stage, all 9 of which fired perfectly. Of course the rocket was never seen again, but that's to be expected!
